This is my first tiered cake AND my first wedding cake. Had a bit of a nightmare with the icing, as I swapped to a different brand which I did not get on with! It really knocked my confidence, so I’m going to make another tiered cake to prove to myself I can do it without all the problems.
The brief for this cake was vintage. I decided to make the string of pearls from icing rather than buying some pearls. So hand rolled and strung them onto a piece of cotton, I think they were pretty good.
